Our Charcoal Works

First Time Oil Painter

Me and my mom went to Deovir to buy a canvas for our Oil Painting plate. I was very excited amongst the class. I got the compostion as fast as I can, then put on the flat colors. The stuff we have to copy were plastic fruits, but we have to make it realistic.

Pencil Drawings

Here's the compiled works of me and my classmates. This were the on-set drawing of a cap and a ball using pencils only. I like Darwin and Mel's work.. SUGOI!?!

Doing CHARCOAL

Finally we're done with pencils and now on-going with charcoal. It's my first time using it and man it's a major headache! Look at my drawing and eventually I seem to get it at the end. But it was worth the try..

It's far more different with pencils.. Here smudging with cotton, paper and tissue were used. I like using tissue though.. And we're still doing another ancient vase and a candle using it.

During our Art History class we made this drawing - The Bird. It's a collaboration of Darwin, Kyo and me. See how we came up from a stupid doodle..

Shading Values

When starting drawing.. lines are most visible.. but in order to have a 3d effect.. What we need are values. Using a graphite pencil and onto a piece of paper, practice shades and lines to create values.

Here's a sample of my drawing..

I got a 1.50 grade on this.. and got a major headache at first..

And got 1.75 on this one too.
