BATTLEGROUNDS : The War of Ragnarok

Battlegrounds is a new PVP game system designed for two teams to compete over specific objectives. Each battleground is a 19 on 19 battle, with unique equipment rewards for participation.

The two PVP battlegrounds are Tierra Valley, and Flavius.

All battlegrounds have the same basic set of rules.

• Two types of battlegrounds have been added (Tierra Valley and Flavius). Tierra Valley is a single round, and Flavius is best out of three.
• The match sizes vary depending on which NCP is spoken to, and enough players must be assembled on both sides before matches can begin.
• After signing up with the specific NPC you'll be moved to a special waiting area (with a chat room you must join) until the match is ready.
• Participation in battlegrounds is rewarded with various emblems, with the number gained depending on if you win or lose. These emblems can be exchanged for various rewards.
• When a player dies, there is a delay before that player can re-enter the match.
• There are limits in place to participation in battlegrounds. Once you sign up for a battleground, there is a 5 minute delay before you can sign up for another match. (decreased from 30 minutes Jan 23rd 2008)
• Some skill limitations exist for battlegrounds (icewall is prohibited).

Tierra Valley

• The two forts are arranged at the north and south end of the map.
• Each fort has a storehouse that must be defended, and by destroying the opposing teams store you win the match.
• There is a third base at the center of the map. If your team occupies this point, you will be able to spawn here instead of farther back.
• There is a series of back routes that are blocked by barricades. By destroying these barricades you can gain an advantage, so be sure to defend these points.

Flavius

• Victory is obtained by destroying the opposing teams crystal.
• The crystal for each team is protected by a guardian that must be defeated before the crystal can be attacked.
• When the crystal is destroyed, you gain one point. Your team wins if you obtain two points.
• Skills cannot be used on crystals.

Battleground Items

"Bravery Badge" and "Emblem of Courage" are two reward items that can be obtained in battlegrounds. Using these emblems, you can trade them in for a variety of equipment. Tiera Valley rewards you with Bravery Badge, and Flavius rewards you with Emblem of Courage.

• Battle Rations A-Type: 5 Emblems
• Battle Rations B-Type: 10 Emblems
• Battle Rations C-Type: 10 Emblems
• Battle Rations E-Type: 10 Emblems
